Installation Guide

1. Getting the map

1. The Classic version is available in the Download section.
2. If you supported the project, we send the Extended version access details by e-mail — usually within a few hours, and never later than 48 hours.
3. Download the .rar file to your computer.

2. Extracting the archive

1. Use WinRAR or 7-Zip.
2. Extract the .rar file (right-click → Extract Here).
3. After extraction you will find either the installer slovakia_setup.exe, or a folder named Classic with .scs files for manual installation.

3A. Using the installer

1. Run slovakia_setup.exe and follow the on-screen instructions.
2. The files are copied to Documents/Euro Truck Simulator 2/mod.

3B. Manual installation

1. Copy the .scs files from the Classic folder to Documents/Euro Truck Simulator 2/mod.

💻 Mac and Linux: use the manual installation — the Windows installer slovakia_setup.exe will not run on your system.

4. Game profile

4A. Using the pre-made profile

1. Launch ETS2 and select the profile “Slovakia_map” included with the installer.

4B. Creating your own profile

1. Activate the mod in the mod manager during profile setup.
2. While choosing your profile name, click “Change Game Module”.
3. Change the module from europe.mbd to slovak.mbd.
4. Complete the setup and start the game.

⚠️ Important: the map module can only be selected when a profile is created. It cannot be changed on an existing profile — you have to create a new one.

Good to know

• You only need to create the profile once. When updating the map you can keep using the same one.
• The supported game version is always listed in the Download section.
• Extended version: for patches, for example when the game version changes, there is no need to contribute again — the password stays the same. It only changes when the map content changes.
